DIY Snow Ball Pom Pom Shoe Clips

Have you ever heard of shoe clips? They’re decorative clips that can be added to heels or flats to turn them into a brand new pair of shoes. I thought it’d be fun to turn my plain emerald flats into snow ball shoes so I have something special to wear for holiday parties. These pom pom snow ball DIY shoe clips look like fluffy white snow balls sitting atop my toes – how fun and festive!

Supplies needed to make your own pom pom DIY shoe clips:

• White Roving Yarn
• Pom Pom Maker
• Scissors
• Hot Glue
• Metal Alligator Clips (or bobby pins with flat cab tops)

Begin by wrapping the yarn around the pom pom maker. First on one side and then on the other until the yarn is just level with the sides of the pom pom maker.

Once you have both sides of the pom pom maker wrapped, cut the yarn around the outer edge and tie a piece of yarn around the center of the pom pom maker into a knot.

Open the pom pom maker and pull the two pieces apart to reveal your finished pom pom. Trim off any pieces of yarn that are sticking out of the pom pom. Repeat these steps to make your second pom pom.

After your snow balls are made, glue each pom pom onto an alligator clip or bobby pin. When you’re gluing the pom poms be sure to find the center. This helps hold them together while they’re on your shoes.

Once the hot glue has cooled and hardened. Clip the pom poms onto the toe part of your shoes.

Tada! You now have the perfect pair of festive shoes to get you in the holiday spirit! I can’t wait to wear mine!

You can easily swap them out from one pair of shoes to the next. Yay for versatility!
