DIY Colorful Halloween Cupcake Toppers

Is there anything better than a treat? How about cute and easy Halloween cupcake ideas decorated with DIY colorful toppers? I mean, aren’t these the cutest Halloween dessert toppers ever? They are super simple to make and will instantly bring the spooky cute fun to your Halloween party. Okay, okay, I know some of you may not be on the colorful Halloween bandwagon yet, so if you are taken aback by all these colors, know that you can easily make these in more traditional Halloween colors! Supplies to make your own easy Halloween cupcake ideas:

• Wood Halloween Shapes
• Gold Jewelry Wire
• Acrylic Craft Paint
• Hot Glue

Begin by painting the wood shapes with the acrylic craft paint and let dry. Then turn the shapes over and paint the other side. If you are so inclined, you can paint the opposite side a contrasting color. Once they are completely dry, cut the jewelry wire into 6″ long segments. Then hot glue the wire to the back of the shape using extra glue to go over the wire to really secure it to the piece. You don’t want them popping off at your party!

Once the glue is dry, these easy Halloween cupcake ideas are ready to adorn your homemade (or store bought) Halloween cupcakes.

Add in a few balloons to match and black cardstock bats that you can cut with your vinyl cutter and you have the most colorful and kid friendly spooky-cute Halloween party ready to go!
