Ah Summer! There is no better time than summer to head outdoors at night and gaze up at the stars. Even better if you do it during a meteor shower like the Perseid’s in August. While star gazing can keep you busy for hours, sometimes a few snacks and desserts are in order. This star gazing party table is easy enough to set up in an hour and will get your guests in the star gazing mood from the moment they come over!
Supplies needed to create your own Star Gazing Party Table:
- Kraft Paper Rosettes
- Wood Star Cutouts
- Gold Fringe Backdrop
- Blue Table Cloth
- Gold Confetti
- Spray Paint (reef, shock blue dark, malachite dark, crocus, and pink pink)
- Deco Color Gold Paint Pen
Begin by creating your galaxy inspired paper rosettes. To do this, unfold all the pieces and use the adhesive strip to keep them in the rosette shape. Then use the spray paint to paint the fans mixing and overlapping the colors as you paint. This gives them a very celestial look!
Once the fans are completely covered, use the Deco Color gold paint pen to splatter the rosettes with gold “stars”. To do this, just flick the pen downwards towards the rosettes and the gold metallic ink with flow out and splatter onto the paper fans.
Once the fans are made and drying, spray paint the wood stars in the same colors that you used on the fans. Next, hang up the gold fringe backdrop according to the package directions, then hang the fans and stars. The final step for these star gazing party decorations is to cover the table with the blue table cloth and sprinkle the table with gold confetti.
Add in all your star themed food like cake with a star cake topper, star fruit, and star shaped cheese and crackers and your star gazing party is good to go. Then it is just up to the cosmos to put on their gorgeous show for you and your friends!
