Easter Bunny Paper Lantern

Easter reminds me of bunnies, among other spring things. I wanted to create a bunny paper lantern to decorate with, and it turned out so cute and easy to make! See how fast this DIY lantern making project came together make one or several for yourself!

Easter Bunny DIY Lantern Making Supplies:

• Paper Lantern
• Cardstock in white, pink and black
• Templates (here)
• Scissors (or die-cutting machine)
• Hot Glue
• Glue
• String

Step 1. Cut your bunny face details on colored paper. You can easily create this with just scissors or you can use an electronic die-cutting machine.

Step 2. Assemble the details. For the ears, glue the top pink piece over the white ear. Repeat for the other ear.

Step 3. For the mouth area, glue the black pieces on the back of the double-circle white piece, and glue the pink nose on the other side. Photos below show what it should look like on the front and back sides.

Step 4. To put it together, first assemble your lantern. Use double-sided tape to determine where you want your facial details to be. Once you know where you would like to place them, use hot glue to secure them in place.

Step 5. For the ears, cut three or four notches on the base of the ear and fold backwards. Use the folded part to hot glue the ear in place. Repeat for the other ear.

Step 6. If you want to make your ear not floppy, fold a rectangular strip of paper into three, and fold again perpendicular to the first three folds, and glue on the backside of the ears as shown.

And you are done with this easy DIY lantern making project! Make a couple and hang them up or just make one as a centerpiece for a party or spring and Easter decor.
